A round focal? In transparent green? Not my usual style at all, but I like it a lot. I think I'll be making more of these!

A shedio to call my own...

Well. After nearly six years of making beads, I finally have my very own shedio!

We've lived in six different rental properties in that time and I have been lucky with some very understanding landlords who have allowed me to set up my studio in every one of our houses. I've worked in my cousin's shed, a garage, a caravan, another shed, an outhouse and a conservatory. While I was grateful for every single one, they were all only temporary and whenever I moved my stuff in, I never even fully unpacked.

So now we finally have our own house and I have been able to get my very own space :) We have just replaced the shed that came with the house; a dark, damp, leaky tumbledown shed...

...with this shiny new potting shed, complete with its own electricity supply!

It's small, yes (a compact 5' x 7'), but perfectly formed and exactly what I need. 

And I am so looking forward to really making it my own.

Hello 2013!

I've just relisted lots of beads on Etsy, including this lovely, calming blue one.

 I do have lots of new ones waiting to be 'cooked' in the kiln, but they will have to wait a few days because I'm getting an electricity supply in my shedio tomorrow...no more extension cables through windows..woo hoo!
